Anthony Hodson runs "XdotD Associates" as a sole trader. XdotD Associates has been in business since 1993, and is the company maintained by Anthony for professional and tax purposes.

XdotD Associates' business was IT and international consultancy associated with the X.500 Directory until August 2006. This entailed, at various times, support of the ICL X.500 product that implemented the X.500 Iternational Directory Standards, and also consultancy for Siemens in Munich for the implementation of the Siemens X.500 product, as well as the design and implementation of ancillary software for Siemens, in the C, C++ and Java languages.

Although XdotD Associates' professional work continues at a low level, no charges for services have been made since the Covid pandemic outbrook in 2020. Those who use services are invited voluntarily to donate to the Friends of St Mary's Winkfield.XdotD Associates is thus no longer active commercially, and will stay so.

Margaret-Anne and Anthony Hodson are active older people. They live in an old house in Bracknell, and have done so since 1976. In this house they raised two children, now married and with children of their own. The oldest grandchild was born in 1997.

Anthony maintains a number of charitable and professional activities, without fee since 2020:

• Being an active member of the Court of the Mercers Company of London, and also of the Guild of Golden Jubilee Masters;
• Teaching Latin and Mathematics to GCSE and more advanced pupils;
• Teaching Music Theory and composing and arranging music, with other music-related activities;
• Playing the bassoon, organ and piano, including being the bassoonist for the Woodley Concert Band;
• Undertaking church-related activities, including being Treasurer of the Friends of St Mary’s Winkfield (FOSMW);
• Giving IT support to Margaret-Anne and FOSMW.

Margaret-Anne also is busy, also in a number of ways:

• Chairman of the Warfield Group of the Riding for the Disabled Association;
• Horseshow and driving show organiser; these shows providing the main fund-raising support for the Warfield RDA Group;
• Maintaining the close family generally.

Margaret-Anne was awarded an MBE in 2008 for starting the first regional newsletter for the Riding for the Disabled Association, and running a full-scale horse show in a high-profile place (Ascot Race Course) - for disabled riders only. This event kick-started dressage as a major competitive sport for disabled riders, leading to the start of Britain's successes in dressage in all the Paralympic Games since 1996.

Margaret-Anne and Anthony enjoyed travel, and a lot of this came from four years living in the USA from 1966-1970, with old friendships to maintain. If you click on any of the pictures below, you will find travel and other photos taken over the years. Unfortunately, due to advancing years, travel abroad is no longer an option for them.

Anthony is a brother of Nicholas Hodson, who died in May 2016 (press the NJH button at top), of Professor Daniel Hodson, and of Charles Hodson, who now lives in France.
